Large Format Automatic Cartoner

Featured here is a very large format, fully automatic cartoning machine. This particular machine was designed to package foam poster boards, however many other products are also possible. The machine will receive the incoming product, collate it and load it into a carton, thereby greatly reducing the labor content of a manual operation. The foam board, in the subject application, is constructed of a foam center with a paper laminate on both sides. The carton is formed from a flat corrugate blank, scored at the fold lines, then loaded with the correct number of foam boards, closed and taped. The finished cartons are discharged to a palletizing station.

    20 x 30 - 5 count, 10 count, 24 count, 36 count
    22 x 28 - 4 count, 5 count (single thickness)
    22 x 28 - 5 count (trifold)
    30 x 40 - 10 count
    36 x 48 - 12 count, 20 count (folded to 36 x 24)
    40 x 60 - 10 count

• Foam Boards may be poly bagged, shrink wrapped or unwrapped.

• Operating Speed: 12 cartons per minute maximum. Actual speed is determined by board size as the laminator, which feeds the machine, runs at constant web speed

The operator loads a pallet load of flat blank cartons into the carton feed station located at ground level. The operator is also responsible for loading a roll of tape onto the tape head or putting glue into the glue reservoir. Changeover is manual as standard but the machine can be fitted with servo adjustable changeover if desired. See the video at:
